While attending classes at College of the Mainland, I substitute taught and worked in the campus technology support department. I performed network and desktop support. I had obtained my MCSE Certification from Microsoft before performing substitute teaching of Microsoft classes while the regular Professor was attending classes at other locations. I taught two classes, Microsoft Server in the Enterprise and Microsoft TCP/IP.
Trinity Full Gospel Church, Texas City, Texas 1998 - 2000
While attending college worked part time as a building engineer for Reverend Charles Golden. Performed major electrical upgrades, HVAC repairs, plumbing and internal construction changes.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Jackson, Mississippi 1995 - 1998
My background in the electrical field made it easy for me to enter the IBEW where my father had been a member for his entire career in the electrical industry. I worked as an Electrician Welder where I performed both electrical work and welding work that was required to install components. It was a position with more responsibility and skills required than the regular Journeyman Electrician. I worked for multiple contractors in and around the area during this period as assigned by the IBEW Local Union #480 office.
Ranger American Security Systems, Houston, Texas 1993 - 1995
I began work with Ranger American Security systems wiring new homes for security and fire alarms. It was not long until I was performing technical customer service and entering people’s homes and identifying and repairing issues with their security systems. The company trusted me enough to install the security system of one of the World’s Famous Tele-Evangelist Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church.
Action Trucking, 1991 - 1993
Managed the trucking companies mechanical shop and fleet of equipment including approximately 15 trucks and numerous pieces of heavy equipment. Maintained the maintenance schedule of all equipment and employee's working in the shop.
Joseph LaStella Mining Operations, Bay Springs, Mississippi 1988 - 1991
Working at the Limestone quarry I performed several operations. Heavy Diesel and Hydraulic mechanical repairs, fabrication and welding, electrical repairs and installations including generators, operated heavy equipment and drove an 18-Wheeler truck on occasion.
Holly Sugar Corporation, Hereford, Texas 1983 - 1988
I was hired to work as a Welder at Holly Sugar after passing their pipe fitting and welding test. There were two seasons at Holly, one was processing the other rebuilding. During the rebuilding season, I performed steel fabrications of all types including stainless steel pipe and Heli arc, MIG and Stick Welding along with heavy mechanical repairs. During the processing season, I performed numerous operations. I drove a 10-cubic yard front end loader, 90 ton Railroad switch engine, monitored the water quality in the boiler house along with emergency production repairs.
NL McCullough Wireline Services, Houston, Texas 1981 - 1983
Welder and steel fabricator of Wireline Service truck beds. Heavy submerged arc welding of wireline spools and mounting skids. Heavy welding on down-hole recovery tools. Heli arc welding on various intricate items and exotic metals such as Inconel and Monel.
Drilco Smith International, Houston, Texas 1980 - 1981
Hard Band Welder machine operator: Ran automated welding process coating drill pipe with carbide surface, then performed manual Heli arc welding on each piece. Performed many machinist positions including, Lathe, Mill and Friction Welder that welded tool joints to drill stems. Set both production and efficiency records for a 12-hour shift.
